WHY NOW
Europe may be leading the way globally on gender equality in political leadership—but we are still nowhere near achieving it. Women make up less than a third of national parliament members in most European countries, and many nations have never had a female head of state or government. This isn’t just a gap—it’s a democratic failure.
The evidence is clear: more diverse political leadership leads to better, fairer decisions for everyone. And yet, across the continent, women's representation is not just stalling—it’s declining at an alarming rate.
We cannot afford to wait. What if we could accelerate progress and achieve full gender parity in political leadership across Europe in less than 20 years? It's bold—but it's possible. And the time to act is now.
HOW
We offer female candidates from across the political spectrum a one-week intensive programme led by political strategists and electoral campaign experts with first-hand experience in winning elections in Europe. The curriculum focuses on the fundamental pillars for running elections successfully. ELECTA programmes are conducted in well-equipped locations outside the distractions of city centres. The locations allow participants to better focus on their campaigns and benefit fully from the collection of experts.
